Catholic Church confirms prevalence of Love Jihad concept in Kerala

Daijiworld Media Network - Kochi (SP)

Kochi, Jan 16: The Catholic Church of Kerala has lent credence to the persistent claims of Hindu organizations about the conspiracy of converting girls from other religions into Islam through what has come to be known as 'Love Jihad'.

In a press statement, Syro Malabar Synod here claimed that Christian ladies are being murdered or used for carrying out terrorist activities by the extremist groups. The Synod, chaired by Cardinal George Alencherry, stated that 50 percent out of 21 Indians who joined ISIS from Kerala were people of Christian origin who had converted into Islam. He said that many people whose names are not in official records are being converted to use them to undertake terrorism. He asserted that 'Love Jihad' is not imaginary and that it is harming the secular fabric of the society.

Cardinal George Alencherry

The Synod, which is an organization of Catholic Bishops, met and took serious note of the fact that a cartel that is working to convince Christian girls to join terrorist organization, ISIS, has become very active. The priests noted with concern that Kerala police department is not taking this issue with the seriousness it deserves.

The Church said that 'Love Jihad', which is being expanded everywhere, is giving rise to enmity between different communities in the state. It dismissed the notion that Love Jihad is imaginary. The concerns were raised by the Synod in an official communique released by the Media Commission of the Syro Malabar Church by Fr Antony Thalachelloor.

Reacting to the allegation, Popular Front India dismissed the charge as baseless. It also said that the timing of the allegation has given rise to suspicion about the intentions of the concerned.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), which has welcomed the move by the Church, has called it upon to join hands with VHP for organizing united fight against Love Jihad. VHP Kerala unit former president S J R Kumar, noted that when Hindu organizations raised this topic in the past, no one supported it. He said that the Church has done the right thing by raising the topic at least now.

One of my known friend happened to be Pakistani told me that marrying a non Muslim lady and converting her and having many kids with her divorce her and get married to another non Muslim and do the same is common for them and thought him by his family members. I thought he was faking but his real life it is true. He has married multiple times to non Muslims and has dozens of kids. Here they get child benifits welfare $500 per child which is having better time. Again I find it deceiving people is sad for personal benifits this man pays all is cost through welfare and enjoying life with multiple wives and meeting all his whatever obligations has thought him by his gurus and call himself as s best citizen of this globe. It is better to blame ourselves. These people come as rats and turns like lions.our entire life we work and pay taxes which is milked by these roughs goons.

You are absolutely right Mr D'Souza. Christianity can be saved only if they can remove the most important two words in this religion "GIVE AND FORGIVE". Every non christian came to know our weakness. they will do the maximum bad things to us and we keep quite. That is why they are marching forward to destroy us. To add more fuel to the burning fire our priests tell us don't harm others,
The community mentioned here has the worst punishments in their religion, but their crimes are the maximum and they are doing in NON Muslim countries. Something seriously wrong somewhere.

I guess kind of Pakista, Somalia, or Afghan or probably Syria? God know? We have to love everyone without bias. For some religion most important is get a rewards just because after death they may get promised gift for fun but some are waiting for eternal life most holiest ways and some dont care any of them believe in hell. Bottom line is love all our fellow humans and make this world a better place for everyone to live in peace

Bottom line : Love the person, but hate the evil that is working in him.
If it's not true, why the messiah had to come? Why the commandments are given?
    Why there would be judgement?

It is unreasonable to say that we can convert others but when our people become non-Christians we raise a hue and cry . Let us introspect and see why this is happening. I think things go wrong because we are not teaching our children (in catechism classes) to pray to Jesus whenever they are in doubt (Jer 33.3,Jn 14:6) . It is my view that we must teach our children ( in catechism classes) to say certain Bible verses repeatedly . Only when they are said repeatedly and silently in our minds, it can bring healing of soul, mind and body. I take the liberty to suggest some Bible verses here below.
    1) Create a pure heart in me O God and put a new and loyal Spirit in me (Psalm 51.100
    2) Lord(Jesus) You are my strength and my I shield. I trust in you (Psalm 28:7)
    3) Mind Governed by the flesh is death but mind governed by the Spirit (Spirit of God) is life and peace (Romans 8:6)
    4) Lord increase my faith, hope and charity

It is very sad to see how religion and religious politics is destroying this country. Religious leaders should be instructed to keep religion inside their houses and places of worship and not mix religion and politics. This country is doomed if this is allowed to continue.

All have a constitutional duty to tell the truth without fear or favour.
Not necessary to confine within the walls of religion when it's affecting the very religion they serve.
Contrary, limiting to the core duties and not alarming during crisis is sheer timidity!

When religious leaders disclosed the truth our eyes opened ...before not!!

We were blaming bajrang dal for keeping eyes on our young girls and protecting them....because of this association many of our girls are saved. Police cant keep track throughout the road but public can keep na ?

Issue of "cartel" opened our eyes....now be careful...parents be little strict young people going out for late night parties or sleep overs, picnics etc. If you want to save your own blood...enough enjoying in the name of freedom, socialising. There are so many other ways to enjoy your freedom....

i write here because one of such things happened with my close friends, neighbourhood also .....now under depression....drugs are playing an important role..be careful ..be watchful...
