Kuwait, Jan 16: The annual meeting of Tulu Koota which completed 20 years here was held at Indian Community School auditorium recently.
Tulu Koota president Ramesh Shekar Bhandary welcomed the members of the Koota. Chief secretary Vijay Wilson tabled the annual report of the Koota. Treasurer Shanker Shetty presented details of the annual activities. The two reports were later accepted.
Members Tarendra Shettigar, Wilson D’Souza, Jagadish Shanbhog, Suresh Salian, Dr Pareti Shetty, Shalini Vijy Shetty, Sana Shetty and Geeta Suvani were honoured for their service.
President Ramesh Shekar Bhandary, members Wilson D’Souza, Sanath Kumar Shetty, Harish Bhandary and Ramesh Kidiyoor were presented prizes. Allan D’Souza, Wilson D’Souza, Veera D’Souza and Mabel Rosario were also presented prizes for selling maximum number of lucky dip coupons.

The newly elected office bearers introduced themselves and assured that they will fulfill their responsibilities and serve Tulu Koota.
President Ramesh Shekar Bhandary thanked the members for electing him. He promised that he will work for the progress of Tulu Koota with the cooperation of the members and the blessings of the elders. He tabled the proposal to increase the admission fee to Tulu Koota from one Dinar to three Dinars. He explained the purpose of collecting the amount in the welfare fund and to use it for a noble cause. He called on the youth to join the Koota and help toward its progress.
There was feast of cultural programmes for the audience. Dances were performed, songs were sung, music was played and a comedy skit was presented to the audience. President Ramesh Shekar distributed cake pieces and wished Merry Christmas to the gathering.
Delicious meals were served by Royal Restaurant.
