Twitterati congratulate ISRO for successful GSAT-30 launch


New Delhi, Jan 17 (IANS): The Indian space agency ISRO earned praise from Twitter users on Friday, as it successfully launched India's communication satellite GSAT-30.

Twitter users hailed the achievements of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Users posted congratulatory messages and showcased their patriotic fervour.

A post by ISRO on Friday's launch trended with 2.3K retweets and 12.1K likes.

"India's communication satellite #GSAT30 was successfully launched into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit by #Ariane5 #VA251. Thanks for your support !!!", the post read.

GSAT-30 derives its heritage from ISRO's earlier INSAT/GSAT satellite series and will replace INSAT-4A in orbit.

Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu wrote on @VPSecretariat: "Congratulations to ISRO for the successful launch of India's latest telecommunication satellite #GSAT30 into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO)A from Kourou launch base, French Guiana. @isro."

Union Minister Jitendra Singh wrote on @DrJitendraSingh: "KUDOS! #ISRO. For the successful launch of #GSAT30, Indian Telecommunication Satellite."

Former Union Minister and Lok Sabha Member Mahesh Sharma tweeted: "My heartiest congratulations to the team @isro for the successful launch of high power communication satellite #GSAT30 into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. Another day & another phenomenal accomplishment by our scientists. It is a proud moment for the entire nation. Jai Hind."

"Congratulations to #ISRO on achieving yet another milestone with the successful launch of high power communication satellite #GSAT30. May you create many more success stories in space with your dedication and hard work," wrote Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot.
