Nirbhaya case convicts to be hanged on Feb 1 at 6 am

Daijiworld Media Network – New Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 17: Soon after President Ram Nath Kovind rejected a mercy petition filed by Mukesh Singh, one of the convicts in Nirbhaya case, fresh death warrants were issued for the four convicts, who will now be executed at 6 am on February 1.

The date of execution is exactly 14 days from today, in accordance with a law that states convicts to be executed must have a two-week reprieve from the time their mercy plea is turned down.

Earlier, Vinay Sharma, Mukesh Singh, Akshay Kumar Singh and Pawan Gupta were to be hanged at Delhi's Tihar Jail on January 22. However, on Thursday, five days before the scheduled execution, Tihar officials asked for a new date, saying the executions could not take place till after all mercy pleas were settled.

The three other convicts are yet to file their respective petitions, which they may do at any time prior to their execution. However, each time a petition is filed and rejected, that 14-day period must be observed, thereby prolonging the execution.

It may be recalled, on December 16, 2012, a 23-year-old medical student was gang-raped and tortured on a moving bus before being dumped on a road in south Delhi. The woman, who came to be known as "Nirbhaya", died on December 29 in a Singapore hospital. Six men were arrested for the horrifying assault. A fifth accused Ram Singh, allegedly committed suicide in Tihar Jail during the trial and the sixth man, a few months short of 18 at the time of the incident, was released after three years in a reform facility.

Nirbhaya could have alive today despite horrible rape if so called Juvenile culprit Mohammed never pierced iron rod into her womb , she died mainly due to womb wall destroyed and infected due to internal injury by sharp rod, But irony is this prime culprit Mohammed escaped due to his age and rewarded job in Southern tamilnadu after probation period ,
They all could have escaped from the hanging if Nirbhaya would have alive, Whom they should blame for their fate, Mohammed or Indian judiciary system?

Mr Charan are you justifying what the other five did is right. Don't do that. All six including the late rapist are equally responsible.

    Never justify a rape crime.

These buggers are not vips (not prolonging from one date to another) and every now and then we have been listening about their hangings, as per supreme court's order jail authorities through president's approval must be hanged immediately, for these buggers courts wasting their valuable time, etc for nothing. Courts are not only for these 4 buggers in India. For them suffice time was allowed, hang them and close the chapter so that lawyers, courts, etc can deal with other cases. Jai Hindi.....! We all fed up as these buggers did not do any Nobel work....?

Even on Feb 1st it'll be postponed. Also if it happens on the 1st only 3 will be handed. One convict filed one more petition to the SC stating that he was minor below 18 years when the crime took place.
These all the 5 should have been encountered in 2012 within a week of the crime.
Indian law, law makers, lawyers and even the supreme court is spineless to punish such criminals.
Indias is one of the worse countries in punishing the criminals. And number one country in saving the criminals.

Tarik pe Tarik... What's wrong with our system.. 😡? This is the reason people accept or rather welcome actions taken by Hyderabad police as our law is very slow in terms of decisions.

I wish & Pray that Unnao rape convict also should be hanged at the earliest. Due to political influence he is moving to the safer track. Difficult to believe our judges and court.
