Udupi, Jan 18: A case is registered at the CEN police station of the city by a woman accusing an online recruitment company of cheating her of lac of rupees on the pretext of promising her a job.

Shakeela Kumari (27), wife of Udaya, a resident of Hurmala Katte Shirvashe of Karkala taluk had received a message from Shain.com online company on June 21, 2019. With the thought of getting a lucrative job, Shakeela sent all the relevant documents to recruiterservices314@gmail.com. She was asked to pay Rs 7,500 though Google Pay. In addition, she paid Rs two lac through Google pay to the company as registration charges, service charges, visa verification charges and other expenses.

As Shakeela received phone calls from the recruitment agency on November 16, 2019, she transferred Rs 42,000 and Rs 20,000 through online. So, in total, Shakeela paid Rs 2.69 lac to the online recruitment agency. However, she has not yet got a job.

When Shakeela came to know that she is taken for a ride by the company, she duly filed a complaint with the CEN police station of the city. Further investigation is on.

    India is going to become 5 trillion economy and at present the economy is booming under Modiji's govt. Millions of jobs are vacant in the market and all the people are getting the jobs so easily now a days. So why this lady paid so much of money for a silly job. She can just approach any company or any govt dept and can get the job very easily. She must understand that we in Ache in din era !!!

    I dont know how ppl get tricked so easily a company will never ask u to pay money through google or any other application and will not ask for any form of payments without prior paper work. Unless it is an agent in that case ur taking a big risk and u have to b very careful.
