Chikkamagaluru: Cannot tolerate people coming to India without documents - MP Shobha Karandlaje

Chikkamagaluru, Jan 18: "Once the period of visa gets over, one cannot stay in any country. Accordingly, it is not wrong that our country is trying to follow the same. It is not possible to tolerate people coming to India without any documents," said MP Shobha Karandlaje.

Shobha was speaking at the CAA Awareness Convention organized by the Rashtra Jagarana Samiti. Shobha further said, "India has given asylum to lots of people of various countries of this world. Minorities in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are being given Indian citizenship under the CAA. There is no problem to anyone who is born in India. No issue will be there with regards to their citizenship."

Speaking on the occasion, Adarsh Gokhale said, "This law is all about giving citizenship to Indians who were our own people before attaining Independence and who have gone to other countries of the world after Independence. Certain people are protesting against this throughout the country and are trying to break the unity and integrity of the country. In addition, they are also trying to put a black dot on the constitutional benches. This is the necessity of informing the reality of creating awareness about CAA."

    Where all those who do not have any legal documents or any proof to prove themselves in accordance with the CAA requirement. Which country will accept them back? In addition, what is the alternative for those who are caught?
    - Put them in detention center and feed them life long?
    - Leave them in the Arabian Sea or Bay of Bengal?
    - Or Export to other countries who are ready to accept them on humanitarian grounds?
    There is no remedy nor any answer. This scheme will bring more problems than fair solution.
    In the meantime, come out with a process to make only NRC for those who are presently in India.
    Such a move is good for future security arrangements and other purposes too.

    after 2014, most MPs think that Government of India has no role in economic development, social justice, control of monopolies and restrictive trade practices/business malpractices...They feel that their only work is to talk about Pakistan, Veer Savarkar, Ram Mandir, Go Raksha, blame Gandhi /Nehru family, rename cities , ports/airports etc. after RSS/BJP leaders etc. While people are divided on religion, people like Nirav Modi/Mukesh Modi, Lalith Modi, Mehul Choksey, Vijay Mallya, Nithynanda etc. are grabbing most of the 5 trillion. Common (130 crores) may be left with .005 trillion...

    Although CAA and NRC has polarized our society I am strongly in favour of it for one and only one reason. India did not have to be divided on religious ground. Independent India is the only one who got divided and Pakistan and Bangladesh got what they wanted. I do not care what politicians say and will do, on both sides of the aisle. But this is the best "first" attempt at reigning against anarchy that is created due to selfish politicians of WB and Assam who created their predictable electorate, flouted all constitutional order and enabled blurred boundaries.

    India historically has allowed people from outside to its fold. People from Pakistan and Bangladesh are not outsiders, but they chose to be outsiders by choice due to their religious affiliation under the evil designs of British. Minorities in these countries should be allowed refuge in India at any time just as anyone from around the world (Muslims, Jews, Iranians, Buddhists etc.) found refuge in India, but not those and their offspring who chose to break India under religious lines. Islam is the religion of state in these countries and their citizens who follow this faith should find solace there and there only - they have no place in India.

    People who are protesting against NRC and CAA are unwise for a simple reason that they want the blurring of border between India, Pakistan and Bangladesh;. this is unacceptable to all parties involved, viz., India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Afghanistan included for convenience and rightly so (does anyone remember destruction of Bhamiyan Buddhas by Taliban?).

    Don't care what Ms. Karandlaje says since NRC and CAA is not about politics.

    In any civilized country, to catch hold of illegal immigrants, they use their intelligence and machinery. They do not trouble their own citizens. Check how they do it in USA, UAE, UK etc.,
    We also have intelligence and machinery, but, we have a different agenda and enjoy troubling own citizens.

    Dear Shobha...do not twist the subject. Whoever it is who are not Indian nationals has to leave the country. In this case your Government is trying to give Indian nationality to those who are staying illegally in India and wish give voting rights immediately. None of the countries who give nationality will not give voting rights immediately.....This kind of crooked actions can be expected from the crooks only....!!!!???????

    Dear Shobhakka,

    In the first place, how a foreigner can enter India without documents? What our BSF is doing at the borders or the immigration officials are doing at the airport?

    Devinder Singh is caught recently. He might be one out of thousands of corrupt personnel in police and defence. First work on that. Do not say what Congress has done in 70 years. You tighten the bolts at the borders and then stop the infiltration.

    But we know it is not possible in a country, where even a government department peon will not move a file without the maska???

    Ayyo Shobakka, you dont understand and you guys will never understand. No one would have an issue if at all you came to the people and also spoke about steps you guys are taking to revive the economy, to create jobs etc. But you guys are enforcing all this, when our economy is in turmoil. You aren't speaking anything about jobs and economy when people are asking that question. You all are escaping from real issues. Understand, perfectly understand that you think congress did nothing in so many years, but what are you doing ? Hindu God or Muslim God or Christian God, none of them said kill or hate eachother. So why are we propogating hate ?? In our families, we speak about values but teach our kids to hate eachother. It is unfortunate that citizens are divided based on relegion. Why cant we all live in harmony. Because that is when we are able to work hard, revive our economy, focus on development. Focus on education, on health, on jobs on brotherhood. Let us first focus on our people before we focus on others. There are lakhs of them under the poverty line, living on the streets. Be a little afraid of God atleast.

    First and foremost is we are humans. Irrespective of religion or other stuff.
    If a person commits a crime or involved in any kind of anti-national activity then that person should be held responsible not his religion or whole community. No religion teaches to kill, hate, abuse or disrespect other fellow humans. Every religion teaches compassion, love and kindness to fellow humans. If at all you guys have come across some crap talking about any religion then you must be intelligent enough to think that it's all done by people who do not follow any religious teachings. They do not respect their fellow humans. They are just here to create disharmony among peace loving people.
    Live and let live.
    One day all are going to leave this world forever. What will be left is your memories. Always make them good. Hatred towards each other will only create bad memories.
    So do good for people. Help each other. Maintain peace and be kind to all.

    First of all can anybody enter to any country without documents ???
    If the people are entering India without documents means that is total failure of our Central govt.
    Why the airport authorities allowing them to enter the country? If they are entering our land from the border, then our forces in the border should not allow them to enter our land. This is Modi govt responsibility.
