Mangalore, Oct 8: The Corps of Detectives department of the Anti Narcotics Bureau here, arrested two persons, who were engaged in selling heroin in the city near Kulshekar on Wednesday October 7 and seized 510 grams of heroin worth about Rs 50 lac from them.

The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammed Nilzar (23) and Aaron Roshan (18). A motor bike, scooter and a mobile phone, that were used by the arrested men for selling the drug, have also been confiscated from them.  The city unit inspector of the Anti Narcotics Bureau, Anasuya, personnel Krishna Harish, Ashok and Navin Kumar nabbed the two, by posing as customers willing to buy heroin.

Reportedly, the accused used to get heroin from Goa and then supply the same to various parts of the city and Kerala state. The policemen succeeded in their efforts to zero in on the operatives, after a prolonged effort spread over the last two months. Reportedly, heroin peddling is one of the reasons for some of the unsavoury incidents that have been occurring in Kulshekar area of the city since some time.

The Bureau is looking into the possibility of the involvement of more people in the racket. A case has been registered in this connection, at the city rural police station. The policemen have begun their investigations.

Thank you wilfred for being realistic. Many cops hype the drug amount caught to make their targets. It is sad to see such young boys involved in this criminal offence. But i'm sure they are on the outer ring of the drug industry. If the cops catch the core dealer that would be a true achievement. I hope these boys are able to give the right info to the cops and then learn their lesson. A harsh punishment would be damaging to their future.

Why is it always we find only minorities engaged in these type of activities? Why can't we focus more on education and come up in life? Our Hindu brothers are starting IT firms, earning nobel prizes while we are falling behind. Come on guys, let's catch up and make our hometown proud again.

MR Stalin for your comment that state Govt is sleeping, this is not the first of the incident in mlore. It has happend before also and will happen in future also whoever sits in vidhan soudha. When ruling congress couldnt stop Demolition of Babri Masjid or the terrorism in Kashmir all over the years how can you put a stop to all these chindhi chors. Be bit sensible in your comments. Today if husband and wife applys for Divorce then BJP is reason behind it if the either of them is associated with the party.

Mr Shahnawaz is absolutely rite in this matters. Arresting just 2 persons is just like cutting down a branch from a huge tree. This operation would be successfull only when the tree is uprooted, meaning the whole team has to be caught. Anyways, good job by the ANB inspectors and its staffs.
