Dr John Stephen Sadananda, is for the protestant Christian community a welcome change. Our community was marred by various controversies in the past, created by various Bishops. The Christian community in Mangalore and all over India has been selflessly putting itself to the service of the poor and needy. We stood together in times of aggression and never stopped doing what best we did always. Helping the needy of the society But this respect we had has been tarnished by a few individuals who were given the power and honor to serve the masses. Rt Rev Dr John Stephen Sadananda, is indeed a welcome change for all of us, and I wish him all the best in his Endeavour to restore the pride that we have always had. I pray that in his leadership, we find the strength and courage to face life as our God almighty has taught us to live I also congratulate the catholic community for taking initiatives to bring us all together and live as respected citizens of India & this God given home, our earth May God bless both the Bishops r Aloysius Paul D Souza & Dr John Stephen Sadananda.

It is a matter of great joy and satisfaction to see Christians meeting together and felicitating the new appointed Bishop of Church of South India. It is also good to see that all barriers are abandoned in a spirit of fellowship. I knew the past Bishop Christopher Furtado who I used to meet very often and I even recall the day he called at my home with his wife with gifts to be carried to America the enxt day. Familiar faces on the scene like Our Bishop A.P. , Bishop Stephen, past Bishop Christopher and Father Denis lend a great complexion to the spirit of understanding and oneness among Christians. May the reign of Bishop Stephen be a long and satisfying one and filled with a lot of joy while tending to his flock. Joe Gonsalves
