Mangaluru: St Theresa School celebrates 71st Republic Day

Mangaluru, Jan 27: Keeping the tradition alive, the 71st Republic Day of India was celebrated at the premises of St Theresa’s School, Bendur, Mangaluru on January 26, 2020, with much gaiety.

The event was graced by our chief guest Allister Moreira, principal Sr Philomene Saldanha, vice-principal Sr Lourdes, Charleen Rebimbus, PTA vice-president, Bethany sisters, parents, teachers and students.

The audience witnessed the wonderful sight of the high and fluttering Indian tricolour flag hoisted by our chief guest which was followed by singing the national anthem.



The celebration started by seeking God’s blessings. A melodious patriotic song was sung by the school choir. The March Past was led by the school band followed by the junior and senior cabinet members, scouts and guides and the students.

The chief guest addressed the audience expressing his pride in the rich heritage and culture of our country. He urged every student to play their role in the development of our country.

It was an eventful day, the memories of which would be cherished forever.
