Udupi: Debut Screening of Educational Documentary ‘Belli Shakshi’ Held at Vidyaniketan PU College

Mangalore University head of Kannada department Prof K Abaya Kumar inaugurated the screening of ‘Belli Shakshi’, an educational documentary, at Vidhyaniketan Pre-university College, Kaup, on Friday October 9. 

The programme was jointly organized by Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) and Vidhyaniketan Pre-university College, Kaup.
 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Abaya said, “Rural students have time and again proved to the world that they are intelligent and on par with urban students”. 

Meanwhile, the professor also urged the school correspondents to impart quality education within the framework of culture which would take the institution to greater heights.
 
K P Acharya, correspondent of Vidhyaniketan Group of Education Institutions, Kaup, and chairman of Anantharaj Charitable Trust, presided over the programme. 

He said that Vidhyaniketan is committed to imparting quality education, instilling moral values, and encouraging extra-curricular activities along with studies which should assure a bright future for the students.
 
Vidhyaniketan Group administrator Prof V K Udyavar, principal Prof Gopalakrishna Kidiyoor, Prof Kere Markandeya, lecturer Dona Noronha, students welfare officer Divyashree, student leader Sharath Kumar, and Shilpashree Karanth, were present.
 
Belli Shakshi district convener Premanand Kumar delivered the introductory speech.  Kannada lecturer Shanthi welcomed the gathering while Manjula proposed the vote of thanks and Pramod Kumar compered the programme.
