Dubai, Oct 11: A meet of old students of Sri Bhuvanendra College (SBC) was held at Food Lands Restaurant, Hor Al Anz here, recently. About 50 old students were present.
Prof B Padmanabha Gowda, SBC principal and Arun Puranik, president of Old Students’ Association were honoured by the old students. Gowda and Puranik were on a mission to meet old students and collect funds for indoor stadium in the name of late Damodar Kini, founder principal of SBC. The old studens plan to donate the indoor stadium on the occasion of golden jubilee of the college on Jan 23, 2010.
Addressing the gathering, Gowda explained in detail about the project and the present activities in the college. A total of Rs 15 lac was collected on the spot with nearly about 50 old students being present on the occasion.
Ramdas Kini gave a token of appreaciation to Gowda and Puranik on behald the old students of SBC.
