Cabinet nod for extension of productivity-linked reward scheme


New Delhi, Jan 29 (IANS): The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved extension of Productivity-Linked Reward Scheme for the employees or workers of the major Port Trust and Dock Labour Board for the period beyond 2017-18.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar shared the information after the decision was taken in the Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Minister said the scheme will annually benefit 28,821 workers and the yearly estimated outgo will be Rs 46 crore.
