Mangalore: Scholar, Religious Leader, Assayyed Abdurrahman Al Bukhari Felicitated

Mangalore, Oct 12: A huge felicitation ceremony was organized on Sunday October 11, in honour of Ullal Kazi, Assayyed Abdurrahman Al Bukhari, who has been serving at Ullal since the last six decades. Thousands of fans of the Kazi, his well-wishers, disciples etc., congregated at Ullal Darga premises to witness this historical event.

Shaikuna Tajul Ulema, Assayyed Abdurrahman Al Bukhari, has been a distinguished leader of Sunnat Jamaat. Former union minister, Al Haj C M Ibrahim, who participated in the function as chief guest, wanted that the felicitation of the spiritual leader should not be confined to this particular ceremony. He exhorted the disciples, well-wishers and the fans of the Ulema to organize various functions all over the country to spread information on the services rendered by the leader to the religious sector. "Ullal Tangal does not belong to just Karnataka or Kerala. Because of his in-depth knowledge and brilliance, he has earned a special place for himself in the hearts of the people across the country and abroad. His services to the community have been exemplary. When he came to Ullal, which looked like a neglected hamlet sixty years ago, he faced the problem of language. He however, overcame the problem soon, got himself accustomed to the situation here, and doled out his religious knowledge to thousands of people. Through his services, Ullal too got catapulted to national fame. He did everything for others, without being selfish, and by imbibing simplicity in life, has led a model life for the others to emulate," Ibrahim hailed.

Assayyed Ibrahim Khaleel Tangal Al Bukhari Kadalundi, who inaugurated the programme, pointed out that the Ullal Tangal is the only one to have completed 60 years of meritorious service to the society and religion in the Dini sect, in a particular place. In addition to concentrating his efforts to firmly settle the Sunnat Jamaat here, he has been a guide and model par excellence to the people and his continued work in the religious field even at this old age, deserve to be applauded, he explained.

Shaikhuna Tajul Ulema, Assayyed Abdurrahman Al Bukhari, who accepted the honour an felicitations bestowed on him by various organizations, Jamaat leaders, Ullal Centrl Mosque and Darga etc., performed the Dua.
