Mangaluru: Sharada Degree College conducts workshop on - 'Key interview skills'

Mangaluru, Jan 31: Sharada Degree College, Talapady under the banner of - 'Charaka, the Commerce Association,' conducted a workshop on, 'Key interview skills' for Commerce Students. 

The workshop was intended to make students ready to face and crack interviews. Noel Jeevan Nazareth, faculty, Department of Animation and Visual Effects was the resource person of the day. The workshop was broadly classified into three parts.

 

In the first part, the speaker spoke on how to build an impressive resume and what are the aspects to be included in it. In the second he conducted a mock interview just to show how interviews are conducted, what are the probable questions and how to answer them. The third part was most interesting and well appreciated one where he pointed out how to enrol for free online courses and to avail certifications for free of cost.

Noel Jeevan Nazareth said, “Interview is a process of convincing and impressing the interviewer through our way of presentation and skills. Today candidates are not chosen merely based on academic knowledge but based on how one can handle multiple tasks. It is the age of multi-tasking, the more skills one possesses it can have better weightage in the resume as well as for hiring. He stressed the need to undertake self-education as it can help in building a fortune in the long-run.”

Dr Kabinale Balakrishna Bharadwaj, principal of Sharada Degree College gave his concluding remarks on the workshop. Keshava and Deekshitha, association coordinators and staff members graced the programme by their presence. Bhagya compered the programme and Varsha proposed the vote of thanks.
