Bangalore / Panaji, Oct 13: Brilliant Printers Pvt Ltd, Bangalore was awarded the "Star Printer of India" and "Star Printer of SAARC Nations" at the South Asian Print Congress-2009 held at Hotel Lalit, Canacona here in South Goa district, recently.
This award was conferred by the “All India Federation of Master Printers" in co-ordination with "Press Ideas" - the Graphic Arts Magazine on 135 printers out of 1,50,000 printers all over India. The selection process included examination of infrastructure, number of years in service, number of staff, quality of print work and related factors.
Brilliant Printers Pvt Ltd, was established in the year 1970 by late A V Rego with a single treddle machine and has grown into a reputed print house in India with a staff of over 250.

Currently, the company is managed by Managing Director - Peter Anil Rego, Director - Paul Sunil Rego and Director - Thomas Manil Rego. Following a learning curve while adapting technology changes, Brilliant sees key growth opportunities in packaging and other related fields. Though the company has been exporting since 1995, exporting as an 100% EOU started from 2001. Present exports are to the US, Europe, Africa, Middle East and South East Asian countries.
Defying competition and keeping pace with technology (highly capital intensive) Brilliant keep answering the needs of the times by installing the right machinery at the right time. Taking challenges one at a time, it has always been at the forefront to innovative in operations and consequently has been able to help its customers with those inputs in saving costs for them.
Though the key focus market segments are books other segments and areas are also being targeted for diversification as well as
offset market variability. All departments of printing are in house and hence interlinked at Brilliant. It presently houses a CtP, web fed, 4 colour sheet fed, finishing with binding and hard cover flowline machines. The sales and distribution network consists of chiefly face to face interaction and at times Web-based dealings.
Employees are kept update with latest technologies, machine maintenance, latest raw materials, environment policies, health and safety and periodical calibration. Foreseeing a bright future in the field of books and activity material, Brilliant has MIS installed at its operations and also set a growth target of 15 to 20% year on year. It keeps itself ahead of the competition by focusing on quality and delivery schedule, value addition on its products and professionalism.
