Firing outside Jamia Millia Islamia reported, no injuries

New Delhi, Feb 3 (IANS): A gunshot was fired outside the Jamia Millia Islamia, varsity students claimed on Monday.

"Two unidentified persons resorted to firing outside the University gate no. 5. They came on a red coloured Scooty from Shaheen Bagh side," said Suyash Tripathi, a Law student at Jamia Millia Islamia.

"One of them was wearing a red jacket," he added.

No injuries have been reported so far, sources said.

However, there is no confirmation from the police as of now.

    These shooters are BJP/RSS agents who are encouraged by the hate communal speeches expressed by the political leaders, including CM of UP. They are trying spread terror and panic among the protesters in order to break their unity and leave Shaheen Bagh area. Even to some extent, the police remain silent spectators in the event. The situation has already developed into a dangerous hot spot and use of force may result into further deterioration.
    The thugs shout slogans against minority community and declare that India belongs to Hindus. Where our secular values and respect gone. Future is going to be troublesome for minorities at the rate such anti-minority slogans are being spread by some people in the country.

    People lost faith in police. Identity of the attackers matters for the police action . They can brutally attack unarmed Jamia , AMU and JNU students and kill the anti CAA protestors but can't protect the innocent women children at Shaheen Bagh and students from terror attacks when the terrorist can fire the bullets infront of their eyes .
