Ajman: ACCI calls private institutions to participate in Ajman Chamber Business Award

Ajman, Feb 4: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, supreme council member and Ruler here, the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) is organizing the Ajman Chamber Business Award, which aims to create a competitive and constructive environment that supports creativity and excellence and highlights best practices for the sustainability and growth of the private sector in the Emirate of Ajman.

The head of the organizing committee of the Ajman Chamber Business Award, Nasser Al Dhafri-executive director of Communication and members support at the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), has called members of the chamber to participate in the award, which features six categories namely 'CSR, commercial sector, industrial sector, SMEs, Emiratization and innovation'.

He stated that all the details related to the conditions of the award and the mechanisms for submission are available on the website https://ajmanchamberba.ae.

He also clarified that the award aims to shed light on the best practices adopted by companies and factories within its categories to allow other members to learn from successful experiences.

"The Ajman Chamber Business Award reflects innovations and achievements of the applicants, which enhances the environment for creativity and raises the level of performance and quality of products and services," Al Dhafri added.

He pointed out that the award comes within the efforts of the Ajman Chamber to create a competitive and constructive environment that supports a culture of creativity and excellence and feeds into the sustainability and growth of the private sector in the Emirate of Ajman.

"The participation in the award will enhance the confidence of customers and the public in the winning institutions and appreciation of the leading companies and factories in Ajman, in addition to improving, developing the commercial activities, as well as opening wide areas of communication and relationships with elite business owners."

"The award's team would carry out a series of workshops to be delivered by a group of experts to introduce the award, its timeframe, details and submission mechanisms, explaining that the first workshop would start during February 2020.

He also stressed the keenness to promote direct communication with concerned government departments in the emirate to ensure the participation of a greater number of institutions operating in Ajman.

"The diversity of the award's categories reflects the clear development and growth of the economy in the Emirate of Ajman during the recent years under the guidance of our wise leadership.

"The 'CSR' category would be granted to the companies that have a lasting impact in society and seek to preserve work ethics and manners, while the 'industrial sector' category would be granted to the factories that master their product manufacture and development of new markets, in addition to their excellence in creativity, quality management and process development.

"The 'commercial sector' category will be granted to institutions operating in the commercial services that have a well thought out and well-executed business strategy, and benefit from new markets. The 'SMEs' category will target the national companies with 250 employees or less and generally master their initiatives with distinguished work practices. The 'Emiratization' category is concerned with institutions that contribute significantly to creating job opportunities at an annual rate of 2 percent for the citizens of the UAE, while the 'innovation' category will shed light on institutions rely on innovation and creativity in their business, whether at the product or strategy levels."
