M'lore: Kadri Friends’ `Moneg Takka Paterodchi’ Comedy Play Peps up Deepavali Celebrations

Mangalore, Oct 18: The two-day celebration to mark fifth anniversary of Kadri Friends coinciding with the day one of Deepavali was inaugurated at Kadri Manjunatheswara Temple premises on Saturday October 17. The two-day celebration of fifth anniversary began with Bali Ustava of Lord Manjunatha at the temple followed by the cultural programmes.
Presiding over the function, K Dinesh Devadiga, president of Karnataka Rajya Devadiga Sudharakara Sangha said that the works of the organizations need everyone’s support. He extolled Kadri Friends for organizing various programmes succesfully.
Corporator D K Ashok Kumar said that the Kadri Friends has always been in forefront in lending a helping hand in any issues of social concern. It is a model for many such organizations, he added.
Organizers honoured Devadas Kapikad, dramatist and director of Cha-parka team.
Local Corporator Roopa D Bangera, Kiran Jogi Kodikal, president of State Jogi community organization, Sudhir Rao, director of V4 media, Amruth V Kadri, entrepreneur Jugul Saldhana, proprietor of Jugul Constructions, Suresh Rao, engineer, entrepreneur Monappa Sanil Kadri and Sadashiv Shetty, president of Kadri Friends were present.
Trustee of Kadri temple Niranjana Salian welcomed all and secretary of Kadri friends Sanath proposed the vote of thanks. Mallika Kala Vrunda president Sudhakar Rao Pejawar conducted the programme.
Dance variety and Moneg Takka Paterodchi, Tulu comedy drama by Cha-parka team entertained the audience as part of the cultural programme. Musical orchestra by Shads team will be held on Sunday October 18.
