Mangaluru, Feb 5: In an incident that took place in the city on Wednesday, February 5, drivers of two private buses involved into fist fight on middle of the road which caused traffic jam.

It is very common site in the city that the drivers, conductors of private buses swearing against each other and also involving fights due to certain time keeping issues.

This incident occurred in front of St Agnes College at Bendorewell in the city. Both the drivers were so involved in fighting that they utterly ignored the other vehicle drivers on the road, as a result of which there was a huge traffic jam.

Angered and frustrated by the fight between the two drivers that caused the traffic jam, a car driver separated them and asked them to get on their buses and drive away. Then both the drivers got into their buses and drove the buses which eased the traffic.

Surprisingly, the conductors of both buses were just watching the fun when the drivers were fighting. Many people and other vehicle drivers and owners have recorded the fight of the drivers on video and is being circulated widely on social media.

Nothing new to us Mangaloreans. Proud to be a Mangalorean.
Just ask RTO to cancel Driving licences of these drivers & continue this practice, with all drivers who do this goonda act, then all drivers will be careful in future.

Why people do not like to travel by KSRTC buses. Are these buses not properly maintained and hygiene ? There should be some reasons. May be KSRTC buses maintain safe speed unlike private buses who zoom over-taking other buses. Less time to cover final destination.

The time has come to control Route no 15 . They don't care anybody on the road. Our administration must take immediate action against that bus drivers and owners.
Our bus owners association is useless. They only responsible for all Traffic problems in the city.

People are crazy about private buses which makes the bus crew to fight themselves.
I wanted to go to Kateel from Mangalore, i was waiting near PVS stop, private bus jam packed with passengers even the conductor wants more passengers to come, behind that bus there is KSRTC bus which is also going to Kateel was half empty seats. Pvt bus charges Rs30/- without ticket & KSRTC charge was only Rs 25/- that to with ticket issued. Now tell me are these people not crazy to travel by PVT bus that to jam packed & paying Rs 5/- extra ????
I travelled by KSRTC & enjoyed 2 seats for a single passenger till Kateel. If people travel by KSRTC with the available bus routes, KSRTC will be motivated to start new routes & make frequent trips with more buses if there is profit, but when people want get abused by pvt bus crew, too much rush & hurry, long whistles people like to enjoy these things & travel by pvt bus what may come... this is the public fault.

It's so disgusting to watch people keep occupied video recording and not having any sympathy nor bothered to intervene.
May be the fight will continue once they are off duty and after having regular evening quota.
