Mangaluru: Shree Devi College holds day-long state level intercollegiate management fest

Mangaluru, Feb 6: The inaugural function of 'Exuberance – 2020', a day-long state level intercollegiate Management fest was organized by the department of commerce and Management of Shree Devi College at Kenjar, on Thursday, February 6.

“We cannot always built the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future” quoting the 32nd US President Franklin D Roosevelt, the chief guest Devraj K, who was the former director of SDM PG center for Management studies and research encouraged the students to inculcate discipline and mentioned the importance of EQ (Emotional Quotient) over the IQ (Intelligent Quotient).

The presidential address was given by Shri. A Sadananda Shetty, the chairman of Shree Devi Education Trust (SDET) who presided over the function and the secretary of SDET, Maina S Shetty was the guest of honour.

Sudesha Poojary, principal of department of commerce and management welcomed the gathering, while the convener Nayana Lohith spoke of the fest's legacy. Also present on the dais was the student president Sharmin Naz, student secretary Sourav J P and Swathi T M the joint secretary of the student council.

Shafali Navneet was the master of the ceremony and the vote of thanks was proposed by Jyothi Prabhu. 

A total of 10 events were infused from the Literally, Management, Aviation and Logistics field and it witnessed a participation of 20 colleges in affiliation to Mangalore university and received an over whelmingly participation of 200 students.

After multiple rounds and screening through, the events culminated and the valedictory function commenced in the evening. Prof P L Dharma, dean, faculty of Arts and the director of College Development Council (CDC) Mangalore University was the chief guest and Nidhish S Shetty, the vice chairman of SDET Mangalore presided over the function.

Sudesha Poojary welcomed the gathering and the winner’s list was announced by Swathi Rithesh. Where the overall championship was backed by Shree Bhuvanendra College, karkala and the overall runners were Shree Devi college of Fashion Designing and the best manager event was bagged by Shree Bhuvanendra College, Karkala. Sharmin Naz proposed the vote of thanks and Sara Annie Varghese was the master of the ceremony.
