Mangaluru, Feb 10: The department of Secretarial Practice, St Agnes College (Autonomous), organised a guest talk on ‘Career Opportunities’ for the students of the Department of Secretarial Practice and Office Management on February 6, 2020.

The alumni of the department CA Pallavi Pai B H tax head, Texas Instruments India Private Limited and CA Prajwala Pai B H director, Tax Price Water House Coopers, were the resource persons.

In their session, they enlightened the students how to set smart goals and how to achieve them. They gave several personal examples of how they could overcome many hurdles and challenges in achieving their goals. Hard work and sincerity is the key to success.



Coupled with this, commitment, dedication and perseverance with enthusiasm tips the scale towards success. Self-confidence and passion to excel are very important speaking on the career opportunities in the corporate filed they said that the industry is always on the lookout for team players with accountability and right attitude. A student needs to come out of her comfort zone to achieve success. One needs to know that failure is a part of life and introspecting on the past wrongs to pave the way forward is the right attitude to face it.

Sheryl and group led in prayer, Charles Pais, registrar of the college, introduced the guests and welcomed the gathering. Concluding remarks, the evaluation was conducted and vote of thanks was rendered by Shanthi M Nazareth dean of Arts and HOD of Secretarial Practice. 74 students of the department benefited from this guest talk.
