Beltangady: Dharmastala Heggade’s 42nd Vardhantiyutsava to be Celebrated on Oct 24

Beltangady, Oct 23: The 42nd Vardhantiyutsava, the day of ordination of D Veerendra Heggade as Dharmastala dharmadhikari will be celebrated in Dharmastala here on Saturday October 24.

As part of the celebration, special pujas will be held at Chandranatha Basadi and to Bahubali Swami at Ratnagiri as well as Lord Manjunatha Swami at Dharmastala temple. Various other programmes such as felicitation to senior workers, meritorious students, fancy dress competition and distribution of certificates to students of Yakshagana training centre will be held.

A felicitation ceremony for Heggade will be held at Mahaotsav Sabhabhavan here on Saturday at 5.00 pm. A J Sadashiv, retired judge, high court will preside over the ceremony. Devotees of the Dharmastala temple and Heggade’s well-wishers too will felicitate him on the occasion.
