Hindujas appoint Paul Abraham as President of Foundation


New Delhi, Feb 11 (IANS): Hinduja Foundation on Tuesday announced that Paul Abraham has been appointed President of the Foundation.

According to a statement, Abraham has come to the Hinduja Foundation from the IndusInd Bank, where he was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for over 11 years. As the President of the Foundation, Paul will be in-charge of driving the philanthropic activities of the Hinduja Group.

Abraham has over 37 years of experience in the banking and financial sector. He joined ABN AMRO Bank N.V. in January 1993 and was associated with it in various capacities, both in India and overseas. Before joining IndusInd Bank in 2008, he held the position of Managing Director, ABN AMRO Central Enterprise Services (ACES).

Hinduja Foundation is a public charitable trust established first in Mumbai in 1968. It is involved in the fields of education, healthcare, water stewardship, sustainable rural development, social welfare and arts and culture.

The Hinduja Group is a diversified and transnational conglomerate. The Group owns businesses in automotive, information technology, media, entertainment and communications, banking and finance services, infrastructure project development, cyber security, oil and specialty chemicals, power, real estate, trading and healthcare.
