Mangalore: Sing Along ‘Kashmir to Kanyakumari’ with Usha Uthup on Dec 20

Mangalore, Oct 24: Mandd Sobhann, the premier Konkani cultural organization will present a unique show by singing sensation Usha Uthup at St Aloysius Centenary Grounds on December 20. In this multi-lingual music show, Usha Uthup will sing in 19 different languages. There will also be dances of different regions of India.
The show titled From Kashmir to Kanyakumari - The Usha Uthup Show’ is the first of its kind anywhere in the world because of the number of languages the songs are sung, the message of peace and harmony it wishes spread, and the concept of a train journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in the imaginary `Ekta Express‘ – the peace train.
Eminent musicians from Kolkata will accompany Usha Uthup. Top quality sound and light is provided by sound and light professionals- Acoustic Control (P) Limited, Bangalore. Authentic dances of different regions will be presented by eight different professional dance troupes. The show will be compered in Hindi and English by India’s Golden Voice Harish Bhimani. It will be a show for people of all languages. A show, the likes of which Mangalore has never witnessed before.
Apart from spreading message of peace and harmony, the show also proposes to raise money for Kalaangann- The Konkani Heritage Centre. Considering the worthiness of the cause, the general public is requested to patronize the show whole-heartedly.
