Mumbai: Kannada Welfare Society celebrates 52nd anniversary

Mumbai, Feb 17: Kannada Welfare Society, Ghatkoper celebrated its 52nd anniversary at Radhabhai Thimmappa Bhandary auditorium, Kurla east on Saturday afternoon February 15.

Society president Navin Shetty Innabalike presided over the programme. Bunts Sangha Mumbai joint secretary Mahesh S Shetty was the chief guest. Bunts Sangha Mahavishnu Mandira committee president Ravindranath M Bhandary, Bunts Sangha ladies wing president Ranjani Sudhakar Hegde, former president Lata Jayarama Shetty, Bunts Sangha Kurla Bhandoop regional committee president CA Vishwanath Shetty, Billava Chamber of Commerce and Industries president N T Poojary and Manisha Rahate, guests of honour spoke as per the context.

Female members and children presented dances, entertainment and cultural programmes. Kannada Welfare Society artistes performed ‘Sridevi Mahatme’ yakshagana play under the guidance of Ajekar Balakrishna Shetty.



Veena Shetty group sang a prayer song. Sudhaker Elloor welcomed the gathering. Navin Shetty Innabalike gave an introduction. Chatrapathi Shivaji awardee Jaya A Shetty introduced the guests. Office bearers presented bouquets, mementos to the guests and honoured them. Ashok Pakkala compered the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.
