Mangalore, Oct 29 (DHNS): The first ever Employment Exchange-turned-HRD centre in the State, run under Public Private Partnership in association with Team Lease Staffing Solutions, was inaugurated by Labour Minister B N Bachegowda in Mangalore on Wednesday.
Speaking after inaugurating the centre, he said similar HRD centres will be opened in Bijapur and Gulbarga. By March, 12 Employment Exchange centres will be converted into HRD centre. All the Employment Exchange centres will be turned to HRD centre next year.
He said the centre has been conceived as an attempt to reorient, revamp and restructure the employment exchanges to make them more relevant and productive. Under the initiative, the Centre will work towards identifying and implementing developmental initiatives to provide quality employment to the youth. Mangalore now becomes the first city in the State to get an HRD centre under the Public Private Partnership model.
A unique ID will also be provided to all the candidates for any future references. The HRD Centre will cater to all job seekers like fresh graduates, school drop-outs, 10th/12th pass outs, existing workers and ITI graduates. The HRD Centre will be entirely technology driven to be able to provide quality services to the job seekers.
