Mangalore: Truck-Vehicle Container Collides on NH at Padil Killing One

Mangalore, Oct 29: In an accident that occurred at around 4.00 pm on Thursday October 29 between truck and container carrying Maruti cars on national highway 48 near Padil, the truck driver died on the spot and the cleaner was seriously injured. 






The truck driver has been identified as Prashant (35) from Dasarakody, Kalladka of Bantwal taluk. The accident occurred when the driver of the container lost balance when steering wheel broke and hit the truck coming from the opposite direction. The truck in turn hit a tree on the roadside as its driver tried to avert the accident.

However, the driver of the container has escaped unhurt.
