Manali's ace skier to promote Switzerland tourism

Manali, Feb 19 (IANS): Twenty-three year-old Aanchal Thakur, the first Indian to win a medal at an international skiing event, has been invited by Switzerland tourism as a Brand Ambassador.

Manali-based Aanchal won a bronze medal at the Alpine Ejder 3200 Cup in Turkey, which was organised by the International Ski Federation (FIS), in 2018.

She is the only Indian to get the invite. She has been asked to choose the tourism destinations for branding them.

"I have received an invite from the Tourism Department in Switzerland to promote winter tourism," Aanchal told the media.
