Hyderabad: Fr Vineeth George CMF names news bulletin of IIT Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Feb 22: The Indian Institute of Technology, here came out with the maiden issue of its news bulletin ‘Kiriith – The Crowning Glory’ at a glittering launch ceremony held during the 11th edition of the institute’s techno-cultural fest Elan & nVision 2020.

Dr B V R Mohan Reddy, the chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Hyderabad released the inaugural issue in the presence of Prof B S Murty, the director of IIT Hyderabad.

Speaking to the media, Prof Murty said that the news bulletin has been named Kiriith, as per the suggestion given by Fr Vineeth George, a Doctoral Research Scholar in Psychology at IIT Hyderabad. Speaking to the media, Fr Vineeth George said that his education in the field of advertising and public relations has equipped him with a creative bent of mind.

Fr Vineeth George is a gold medalist post graduate in public relations and has served in the past as sub-editor of Deccan Chronicle and PRO of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, the Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. He left his promising career in 2004 to become a Catholic priest.
