Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Nov 6: Fr Gilbert Saldanha SJ, principal of St Joseph’s Indian High School, No.23, Vittal Mallya Road, Bangalore – 560 001, has informed that the Alumni Association of St Joseph’s Indian Institutions, which took re-birth in the year 2008, has become a full-fledged, registered association, with elected office bearers. He has said that the Association has ambitious plans for the welfare of the past and present students as well as the institution.

In order to create a forum wherein the Alumni can meet, know each other well, relive the childhood days with friends and to recall their alma mater, a get together of the Alumni is being organized on Saturday November 28 at St Joseph’s Indian High School Grounds from 6.30 pm onwards.

He has informed that a sumptuous dinner will be served at the meet. Being the first such get together, only the alumni are invited, it has been clarified.

The alumni have been requested to confirm their presence immediately through mail. They can also confirm their presence by post to, ‘The Secretary, Alumni Association, St Joseph’s Indian High Shool, #23, Vittal Mallya Road, Bangalore – 560 001’.

They have also been requested to convey about the programme to their school/batch mates and get them to send a confirmation of their presence at the gathering to ensure that proper food arrangements are made. The confirmations have to positively reach not later than November 10, the principal added.

I was also doing my schooling there during 1961 till 1966. I was very close to Rev.Father Saldhana. He was instrumental in setting up a good cricket team. Mr Kirimani was product of our school. Rev.father and self use to witness all the matches which took place in the school ground.
