Kaup: Unidentified bodies in decomposed state found at Mattu beach

Kaup, Feb 28: Two bodies washed ashore were found at Katpady Mattu beach area near Kaup, late evening on Friday, February 28.

The bodies found were in a decomposed state as per sources.

Kaup police visited the spot where the bodies were found.

Police suspect the bodies to be of Gopalkrishna Rai (45) and his six-year-old son Aneesh Rai, residents of Baltila, Bantwal, who had allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the Netravati bridge in the wee hours on February 16.

Further investigation is underway.
