Bengaluru: Congress leaders complain to high command over Siddaramaiah-BSY 'bonhomie'

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Mar 1: The new bonhomie between former chief minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah and present chief minister B S Yediyurappa has apparently not gone down well with the Congress leaders and workers.

The Congress leaders have submitted a complaint against Siddaramaiah to the party high command, along with a detailed report about his participation in Yediyurappa's birthday celebrations held on February 27 at Palace grounds, sources said.

Sources said that the leaders have sent a video of Siddaramaiah's speech, newspaper clippings of the programme and other related material with the complaint to New Delhi.

A few Congress leaders have gone to the extent of alleging that Siddaramaiah joined hands with Yediyurappa to bring down the erstwhile Congress-JD(S) coalition government, and that Siddaramaiah was not doing his duty as opposition leader in raising voice against the government.

The faction opposed to Siddaramaiah has now furnished details about Siddaramaiah's participation in Yediyurappa's event, with documents about their 'friendship'.

Speaking at Yediyurappa's birthday celebrations, Siddaramaiah had showered abundant of praise on the CM, emphasising that Yediyurappa rose to become chief minister due to sheer hard work and perseverance as he did not come from any politically influential family.

Exactly. People are acting heartless. If you're a opposition leader there's no rules that you can't attend any functions of other party leader. It's your wish. If you have humanity you'll go and wish him and you'll praise him if he has done good work. What's wrong with you people. Don't be so silly

Yeddi was a true leader who fought for the farmers and downtrodden and struggled , and won his way up being in opposition for almost 80% of his political carrier. He had bought very good schemes for poor irrespective of caste and creed during his tenure. His only negative Trait was his bad uncontrollable Temper . Added to it was his not required Vice at the age of 70 which our own daughter of Puttur. But in a bid to save Govt from the clutch's of Reddy brother, he had to do all that he was not supposed to do , again to keep the flock together. BJP by inducting Reddy's into the party and mainstream politics spoiled a good chance of having a Strong Single party BJP govt in Karnataka.

Whatever Said and done, Karnataka BJP will not be same without Yeddi. There is no other leader of this caliber in the party.

There is a scope for BSY and Siddaramaiah to form a regional/ kannada centric party. The national parties are not doing justice to Karnataka.
