Karkala: Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences holds ‘Kreedothsava’

Karkala, Mar 2: Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized the 8th Nitte Kreedothsava Tournament on February 24 and 25 at the Nitte Indoor Sports Complex, Medical Sciences Complex, Deralakatte.

Vishal Hegde, pro-chancellor, Nitte DU was the chief guest. Inaugurating the newly built indoor sports complex and Kreedothsava, he said staying fit both physically andpsychologically for today's healthcare professionals is a big challenge due to busy work schedules. Nevertheless, one must devote some time daily for exercise and sports to stay fit. This provides relief from work pressure and helps deliver better patient care.



Dr P S Prakash, Dean KSHEMA, Dr U S Krishna Nayak, dean, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Dr P Jayaprakash Shetty, vice dean, KSHEMA and Dr C S Shastry, principal Nitte Gulabi Shetty Memorial Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences were present on the occasion. Prof (Dr) Fatima Dsilva, principal Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences welcomed the gathering. Dr Murali Krishna Sports Advisor Nitte DU rendered the vote of thanks.

Students and faculty from Mangaluru, Nitte and Bengaluru campuses actively participated in various events like Volleyball, Throw ball, Basketball. The winners of various sports event were honored by Air Commodore S K Pai (Retd), on the occasion of the closing ceremony held on February 25.
