Beltangady: Tug-of War Game Reflects Communal Harmony

Beltangady, Nov 9: Late Jerome D’Souza Memorial Tug-of-war held in Madantyar here on Saturday November 7 was a great success.

In all 28 teams participated in this rural country game, which brought about a fantastic recreation and unity. The rural game was highly appreciated and became a strong cause for communal harmony with participation of people from all the religions.

President Vincent D’Souza and other members of Friends Club Madantyar were the hosts the event.

In a stage function, Ananthram Bhat, retired Kannada pandit was honoured for the service in Guardian Angels School, Madantyar. Mangalore MLA U T Khader distributed the shield and prizes to all the winners.

First Prize - Friends Mogarnadu A -  Rs 11,111 and Trophy and one sack rice
 
Second Prize -  Sriram Vyayama School, B C Road -  Rs 9,999 and Trophy and one sack rice
 
Third Prize -  Friends Madantyar  -  Rs 7,777 and Trophy and one sack rice
