Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Nov 9: Allaying the widely prevalent notion that he will be the Chief Minister (CM) only till March 2010, B S Yeddyurappa told the media men today morning, that he will be the CM for the full term.

Speaking at his Race Course Road residence here, where a meeting of the party legislators including ministers had been convened, Yeddyurappa stated that the party high command, including national president Rajnath Singh, Karnataka affairs in-charge, Arun Jaitley, and opposition leader in the Lok Sabha, L K Advani have reiterated their earlier stand that there will not be any change in the chief ministership of the state. He said he has been envigorated by the support extended to him by the party high command.

Yeddyurappa said that clouds of uncertainties were now a thing of the past and that all the ministers and party colleagues will work unitedly, by burying the hatchets, for the progress of the state and the welfare of its citizens.  He added that the party leaders and the legislators have made up their minds not to give scope for the incidents of the kind that had threatened to rock the state government, again.

About the compromise forumula, he said that the coordination committee formed as per the advice of the central leadership will take decisions about dropping of ministers and such other issues. He stressed that the relief works will get a boost in the flood-affected areas within two days.

After the meeting, Yeddyurappa went to the residence of Jagadish Shettar and held talks with him for about half an hour. It is reliably learnt that he invited Shettar to join the ministry. When queried, he told the media that Shettar had given some suggestions for better administrative efficiency and that the same would be implemented. It is expected that Shettar will wait for the coordination committee to decide about his induction, as per the high command’s formula.

Home minister, Dr V S Acharya and state BJP president, D V Sadanand Gowda were present with the CM.
