USA: MKCA Elects New Office Bearers

Chicago, Nov 10: The Mangalorean Konkan Christian Association conducted its long awaited election for new Executive Committee and Board of Directors in its recently held Annual General Body meeting.  The election was conducted by the Election Commissioner, Santhosh Veigas.  Following members were elected for new Executive Committee, who will hold office, from upcoming year 2010 - 2011:  President - Queenie Mendonca; Vice President - Eric Fernandes; Secretary - Francis Mascarenhas; Associate Secretary - Rita Saldanha and Treasurer - Stany D'Souza.

Board of Directors - Godwin Rego, James Saldanha, Mercy Concesso, IPP Larry Mascarenhas, Mark Rodrigues and Lance Dias

 
The new Board of Directors are:  Mark Rodrigues, Lance Dias, James Saldanha, Mercy Concesso and Godwin Rego.  It is reported that the current Executive Committee will take its oath of office during celebration of Nathal Fest - 2009.

    CONGRATULATIONS AND ALL THE BEST TO THE NEWLY ELECTED COMMITTEE of the Chicago-USA based Mangalorean Konkan Christian Association…President - Queenie Mendonca Vice President - Eric Fernandes Secretary - Francis Mascarenhas Associate Secretary - Rita Saldanha and Treasurer - Stany D'Souza. AND THE Board of Directors - Godwin Rego, James Saldanha, Mercy Concesso, IPP Larry Mascarenhas, Mark Rodrigues and Lance Dias.

    I am sure there may be many Mangaloreans in many other Cities of the USA., and will be nice if the success of the Mangalorean Konkan Christian Association in Chicago will be able to inspire them also to come together in their respective places of domicile.

    Like in Qatar the MCC celebrates annually a Mangalorean Day in a grand way, perhaps all the Mangalorean Associations wordwide can one particular day of the year and together celebrate AN INTERNATIONAL MANGALOREAN DAY …….somewhat like the MONTI FEST
