Kundapur: Vandalized Statue of St Bernadette to be Ceremoniously Installed

Kundapur, Nov 13:
The vandalized statue of St Bernadette at the premises of Immaculate Conception of BVM parish, Gangolli, will be replaced with a new statue and installed ceremoniously at the parish, here on Sunday November 15.  The statue of St Bernadette that was erected long ago was vandalized by communal forces in 2008.
 
A grand procession carrying the new statue of St Bernadette will begin from Gangolli post office to Immaculate Conception of BVM parish here at 3.00 pm. The consecration of the statue of St Bernadette and prayers service will be held at 4.00 pm.

A communal harmony meeting will be held at 4.15 pm after the prayer service, at the parish premises. Mangalore diocesan vicar general Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu and Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts Jamait-Ul-Falah former president Ibrahim Saheb Kota and retired teacher and journalist S Janardan, will be the chief guests on the occasion.
