Bengaluru, Mar 11: The police department in the state has asked the urban development department of the state to bring out specific guidelines for Paying Guest (PG) accommodations in the state in the wake of anti social activities that were unearthed to be taking place in such accommodations.
Now the urban development department in coordination with the police department of the state is forming guidelines for PG owners and administrators of the state as per the information provided by Anjum Parvez, chief secretary of urban development department. The main aim this is to avoid anti-socials and terrorist-linked people from taking shelter in such facilities.

It is unearthed in the past few months that people who have links with terrorist organizations holding discussions in PG facilities and also conducting their activities. During the preliminary investigation of Amulya Leona and Adra, who were arrested for sloganeering in favour of Pakistan, it has come to light that even they were using the PG facility, in which they were residing for holding discussions.
The guidelines will include the following measures to prevent anti-social activities in PG accommodations:
*PG owners should collect the copy of Aadhar card, voter's identity card, PAN card or any other authentic document from the person or persons who are seeking accommodation
*If they are students, then a confirmation letter from the college administration
*If the people are not from the city where the PG is located or from outside states, then they should provide confirmation letter from their native place
*If the person is an employee, then appointment letter of the respective organization
*PG owners should monitor the activities of those who are residing in their accommodations
*CCTV camera and security guards should be installed in the facility
*If the PG owners find any suspicious activity, the same should be reported immediately to the police
