Mangaluru: Dataspectrum 20 national level paper presentation competition held at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Mar 11: A national level technical paper presentation competition 'Dataspectrum 20' was held on 10th March. The main objective of this competition is to bring together academia to meet, share knowledge and ideas in the development of latest technology. The technical paper presentation contest was designed to provide ample opportunities to participants to share ideas and information in the field of information technology.

The dignitaries included Dr Biju R Mohan, Professor and HOD, Department of Information technology, NITK Surathkal who was the chief guest for 'Dataspectrum 20'. The other dignitaries present on the dais were Sr Dr M Jeswina A C Principal, St Agnes, Sr Dr Vinora A C PG coordinator, St Agnes, Anushree Raj HOD M Sc Big Data Analytics, Rakshitha Kolya the student convener, Mr Joel Scaria vice president of Neuron.

 

The program began with invocation of the divine by Roselita and team.

The gathering was welcomed by Trupti, who extended warm wishes to all who were present during the inauguration. The dignitaries lighted the lamp which officially declared ‘Dataspectrum’20′ open.

Dr Biju R Mohan the chief guest, addressed the gathering wherein he said his opinion on how artificial intelligence and data science would influence our future and also focused on the huge scope in data analytics giving few real example on how individuals could make money out of their knowledge.

Sr Dr Jeswina A C in her presidential address encouraged students to do more presentations and focus on research aspects in future. She wished all the participants very good luck.

The inaugural ceremony culminated with the vote of thanks delivered by Farheen Banu and Shereen Banu compared the program.

The papers were presented for the competitions in four different tracks by students from Karnataka and Kerala. Four papers were identified for best paper award. Professors from various engineering colleges to judge the competition. All the winners were awarded during the valedictory function.
