Bantwal: Carmel College celebrates International Women’s Day

Bantwal, Mar 12: Women’s Cell of Carmel College, Modankap celebrated International Women’s Day recently in the college auditorium.

Vinitha Rai K registrar, School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru was the chief guest addressed the students with the need to empower women. The Women’s Cell had organized poster making competition on the theme ‘save girl child’. The winners were awarded the certificate by the chief guest.

The celebration started by seeking blessings from almighty by Shafeeka and group followed by a formal welcome by Sana Mariamma first-year BCom.

The college principal Dr Sr Latha AC, coordinator Chandrika Rao, Department of Hindi, and secretary Jevita second-year BCom was present.
