Mangaluru: Commerce Dept of Milagres College organise one-day national conference

Mangaluru, Mar 12: On March 11 the Commerce Department organized a one-day national conference on 'Entrepreneurship: Opportunities and Challenges' sponsored by Baretto Stany Education Trust Endowment.

The conference was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. The chief guest Stany Baretto president, Baretto Stany Education Trust, Isaac Vas president, Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mangaluru, Fr Michael L Santhumayor principal, Prof Lourdsamy academic advisor, Lavita Pereira conference convener and Ivin D’Souza CPL of the college were present on the dais.

Cassin Rodrigues vice-principal welcomed the gathering. The chief guest Stany Baretto in his inaugural address congratulated the organizing committee for organizing the national conference that would help young entrepreneurs in the days to come. He said that he is not an entrepreneur by profession but he being a teacher finds himself to be an entrepreneur by his generous aid to the needy.

He was grateful to the institution for having invited him for this programme. Isaac Vas, having great experience and knowledge as an entrepreneur, gave a list of key indicators to the gathering and also mentioned the three elements necessary to start a business- they are money, market and mentor. He stated a few examples apt for the topic and concluded his address by wishing luck to all the upcoming entrepreneurs. Lavita Pereira convener of the conference proposed the vote of thanks and Eva Manorama convener compered the programme.

The national conference created a forum for a total of 120 research scholars, faculty and student delegates.
