Kasargod: UDF Calls for Harthal – Prohibitory Orders in Place

Kasargod, Nov 16: United Democratic Front (UDF) has called for a harthal on Monday November 16 after Sunday’s tension wherein two youth were killed. Tension prevailed in the region after members of the Muslim League allegedly damaged a few BJP and CPM flags while taking out a bike rally as a part of the Muslim League convention. 



However, on Monday so far no injuries have been reported. Prohibitory orders are in place and policemen have been deployed. Shops have downed their shutters and public transport has suspended transportation.

It can be recalled here that two persons, Shafique (18), a resident of Kaidakkadu and Mohammed Asher (20), a resident of Arikkadi near Kumble were killed and 13 policemen including Badiyadka station sub-inspector C B Mathew was injured on Sunday.
