Mangalore: BSNL Dakshina Kannada Telecom District Launches EvDO Data Card

Mangalore, Nov 18: BSNL announced good news to seekers of new internet connections across the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.  BSNL has released EvDO Data Card, the much-awaited Evolution Data Optimized / Evolution Data Only (EvDO) services, for students, youth, entrepreneurs, professionals and managers.  

Mangalore South MLA N Yogish Bhat released EvDO services at a function held at Kankanady telephone exchange here on Monday November 16. 

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Karnataka Bank CEO P Jayaram Bhat and Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj were present on the occasion. BSNL Dakshina Kannada Telecom District public relations officer S M Hegde welcomed the gathering. General manager K M Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.

About EvDO Data Card 

It’s a wireless broadband service that can be installed in laptops. EvD is a roaming facility meant for south India. The free internet service is meant both for limited or unlimited use, with a speed of 2.4 mbps. No registration charges.  

The EvD accessory costs Rs 3,500 and with inclusion of taxes it comes up to Rs 4,192.  The activation charges of Rs 500 are included in it. Internet charges per month are fixed at Rs 999.
