Miscreants Vandalize Church  in North Karnataka

Bidar, Nov 18 (IANS)
A church in north Karnataka has been vandalized and a cross, doors and windows have been damaged, police and church authorities said Wednesday.

Vasanthkumar, the priest at the church in Humnabad in Bidar district, about 700 km from here, told reporters that the attack must have taken place late Tuesday and the damage was noticed Wednesday.

"It looks like a deliberate act of desecration as nothing has been stolen," Vasanthkumar said.

He said the cross on top the church, the main door and windows have been damaged.

The police visited the church and registered a case on the complaint lodged by the priest.

In September last, more than 15 churches were vandalized in different parts of the state by pro-Hindu activists, protesting alleged conversion activity by missionaries.

It is disgusting that some antisocial elements derive great sense of satisfaction by trying to distroy the churches. No religion is teaching violence. These anti-christian people do not value their own religion by violating the basic principles. It is very sad that state governement is doing nothing to stop this.

BJP has no right to stay in power when they are not in a position to protect the places of worship. They are only interested in protecting their own chair which has been given by the people and their salary is paid by taxpayers. It is clear that this government is involved in such activities. They do not understand that there is only one God for all the religions. How you understand God it is your way of winning. But God will not tolerate hurting others and their sentiments. Evil power can never defeat God’s power. God knows how to take care of the people with evil spirit and he will act only when it is necessory.

Shahanawaz is absolutely right. We have more internal BJP sponsored terrorism in the name of religion than external. As long as BJP is in power in the State, the otherwise most peaceful State of Karnataka will not have it. It's the shame of the so called 'World's largest Secular Democracy'.

I fully agree with people who've written earlier that this is the handywork of the chamchas of the BJP ministers who are desperate to save their chair. These people are strong enough to attack & bring down crosses & statues made of concrete, windows & doors of wood. Why not give this a try? How about sending these strong people to the nation's borders to guard the country against the enemies or to war-ravaged countries, so that they'll no doubt come back victorious & make not only India proud, but their families? Give this a thought You people who encourage these nasty deeds to take place. "Best of luck"

HOw terrified and insecure minorities there may be. God is sure to send his curse on BJP regime and to all those who support this act of terrorism by BJP and its parivar. Its a matter of time and Gods wrath will come like a lightening without notice and no one would be spared from it. Whats happening is disgusting. Hello Mr, lingappa rao Udupi. I just want to ask where exactly god told this that "vengeance is mine,I shall repay it". As far as i know warfare and violence is not an answer for these type of vandalism. Every religion is teaching to love another person and try to bring peace in ourselves. some animals cant understand this because they are puppets of some local politician. Do you really think that people attack on their own. I certainly don't think so.

Of course all human beings will be questioned on Judgment day for their poor and cheap deeds. but the question is FOR NOW, who is going to save the poor people, attacks on minorities churches and stop all these vandalism which is happening in all over India. Any answers.

BJP government has given all the freedom to the anti-social elements of the society, so they find a lot of pleasure in vandalizing every building with a cross they can find. God's GPS system is working in 24 hours, and He will take His sword of retaliation, then only the goons will understand the pain of divine punishment. So, keep on vandalizing because the police and the goverment have given them total freedom to do this evil deed.

In western countries, believers of every religion want to have complete rights and build places of worship. A slight scuffle is relegated to the legal issues of human rights, religious rights, etc. Indian authorities are in the forefront demanding explanations and justice for the atrocities against Indians in foreign countries, when crimes of Indian citizens against their compatriots in Indian soil is being overlooked. The thugs who create such havoc are none other than the hirelings of the Ministers who want to hold on to their seat through terror tactics.
