Mangalore: Vamanjoor, Yedapadav Peaceful – SIs Transferred

Mangalore, Nov 19: Vamanjoor and Yedapadav remained peaceful on Wednesday November 18, without any unsavoury incidents.
Police patrolling continues in both the places. In the meantime, Bajpe police sub-inspector, Raghava Padil, has been transferred to the crime department of Kadri police station. On Tuesday, some organizations had met western range inspector general of police, Gopal Hosur, and submitted a memorandum, requesting him to transfer Padil from Bajpe.

Panambur sub-inspector, Pramod Kumar, has been deputed to Bajpe police station on office duty, to function as sub-inspector there. Kadaba sub-inspector, Nandakumar, has been transferred to Panamboor, while Vinayak, sub-inspector of the crime department of Kadri police station, has been transferred to Kadaba.
The families of the students, who were assaulted, had met the police officers and asked them to take suitable action against the erring youths. Eight students of Yedapadav College had been suspended for a week for indiscipline. In this background, Panambur deputy superintendent of police (DySP), Girish, and inspector, Valentine D’Souza, visited Yedapadav college on Wednesday and held discussions with the college management and the teachers. Another meeting is expected to be held today, in the presence of the DySP. An awareness meeting on communal harmony may also be arranged on this occasion.
