Udupi: Two-Day Annual Feast of Perampally Parish Celebrated

Udupi, Nov 19: The annual feast of Our Lady of Fatima parish, Perampally near here was celebrated on Tuesday November 17 and Wednesday November 18.
Fr Noel D’Almeida, Capuchin Friar and manager of Assisi Press, Mangalore was the main celebrant of festal Eucharistic Celebrations held on Tuesday November 17 night.
Fr Noel, in his homily, called upon the faithful to cleanse their mind and soul, by forgiving all those who have hurt them by their overtures and also enemies, in order to celebrate the annual feast meaningfully. He also emphasized on sharing and caring in the families, since lack of time threatens the well-being of many families.
Many priests from the deanery and neighbouring parishes also joined in the Eucharistic Celebrations along with Fr Noel. The Holy Mass was concluded with adoration to Holy Sacrament on the occasion. A large number of parishioners attended the Holy Mass.
An attractive display of fire-works was also held after the Holy Mass at the parish grounds.
Perampally parish priest Fr Romeo Lewis presented the blessed candles to Julian D’Souza and family, the main sponsors of festal Eucharistic Celebrations on Wednesday November 18.
Fr Stany D’Souza, director of Asha Kiran, Mangalore presided over the grand festal Eucharistic Celebrations along with Capuchin Fr Richard Quadros, principal of Holy Trinity Central School, Perampally, Fr Anthony Capuchin and many priests from the deanery and neighbouring parishes.
Fr Stany, in his homily, stressed upon the need for family prayers, citing that the family that prays together, shares in happy and testing times, stays together.
Perampally parish priest Fr Romeo Lewis thanked Julian D’Souza and family, the main sponsors of festal Eucharistic Celebrations, parish council vice-president Lancy D’Souza and secretary Joseph D’Souza, for their generous contributions towards the annual feast.
Fr Romeo Lewis along with Fr Richard and Fr Anthony conveyed best wishes of feast to all parishioners after the Eucharistic Celebrations.
The Holy Mass on confraternity Sunday November 15 was offered by Fr Alban D’Souza, parish priest of St Jude Thaddeus parish, Pakshikere.
