Udupi: City bus crew save life of passenger in distress

Udupi, Mar 17: In an incident which happened on the evening of Monday, March 16 in the city, employees of Sri Devi Prasad Motors city bus, admitted a passenger in need of emergency medical care into Baliga Hospital. The passenger had suffered epileptic seizures when in the moving bus.

The bus in question was on its way to Perampalli from the city. At about 5.20 pm, when the bus was moving through Gundibail here, a passenger travelling to Perampalli suddenly collapsed after he suffered seizures. Conductor of the bus identified as Abhishek immediately informed driver Sathish, and took the bus to Baliga Hospital Doddangudde nearby.

The timely response of the driver and conductor of the city bus has come in for lavish appreciation from the general public. It is learnt that the patient has since recovered and stands discharged from the hospital.
