Bengaluru, Mar 17: The security cover that was given to former CMs Siddaramaiah and H D Kumaraswamy was withdrawn suddenly on the morning of Monday, March 16. The pilot car facility was removed from their security thereby giving shock to both senior leaders of the state.

The government had only continued the escort service on Monday. However, on Tuesday, March 17, the pilot service also is re-instated.

Both Siddaramaiah and H D Kumaraswamy are given Pilot and Escort service with the angle of VVIP security as they were former CMs. However, the pilot car service was withdrawn on the morning of Monday without any notice. This irked opposition leader Siddaramaiah, who had written a stern letter to CM Yediyurappa.

As soon as Siddaramaiah expressed his dissatisfaction over the withdrawal of pilot car from his security cover, Yediyurappa had written a letter to the home minister and asked him to look into the matter. Bengaluru city commissioner, who got instructions on the morning of Tuesday, ordered his personnel to continue the pilot car service to both the leaders.
