Mangaluru, Mar 23: The lockdown ordered in the district from Sunday night till March 31 has affected traffic. Some private vehicles are moving on the road and auto rickshaws are serving the needy.

Business houses except those dealing in vegetables and grocery items are closed. Most of the hotels are closed. In some hotels, take away counters are open and parcels are delivered as per the needs of the customers.

Hotels located by the side of the national highway are operational. As buses of schools and IT companies are also not ferrying people, movement of vehicles is scarce.

None of the buses, city service or long route ones, are plying. People have gathered at the grocery stores to do their shopping. Many businesses have put up boards giving notice of their intention for early closing down.

Business at the central market was as usual but with lesser public in the vicinity. Bunder port was bustling with fishing actvities.

It is our responsibility to save lives of another human including family members of your own home. Peoples need to understand first that lockout called for peoples safety, not for other moties. So think of peoples of your family before steping out from home.

Thanks Mr. Ravi, you are right. Yes, when family is far from us only 2 things make us happy. One is prayer. Another is working hard.
