Panaji, Mar 23: With corona scare intensifying as a precautionary measure, the Goa government has reduced transport services to a bare minimum. All destinations will be connected via public bus service through 'an arranged skeleton service'.
Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd (KTC) officials at each of the bus stands will finalise the route schedules and coordinate with the inspectors from the directorate of transport posted at the bus stands.
The bus operators are asked to ensure that overcrowding does not take place and bus drivers and conductors are ordered to wear masks. The government has also ordered the daily disinfection of buses till March 31. The operators are directed to also ensure that passengers sanitise their hands before boarding the bus.
At the regional transport offices (RTOs), minimum citizen services will be available at RTO offices up till March 31 as a preventive measure against the spread of coronavirus. The inward counter at all offices and the registration counters only for BS-IV vehicles will be open.
However, services of driving licenses, registration of vehicles and permits will not be available till March 31.
